Nolan's 5 months Old

Okay, so maybe he was 5 months old about 10 days ago. And in usual fashion, at 4 pm today I said to my husband "Oh my gosh, we haven't done his pictures this month - let's go now!" So, we went down the trail that our neighborhood backs up to and did a quick shoot.

And of course, I couldn't get a good shot of them all looking at the camera. Everyone always thinks that I have all these artsy pics of my own kids in my house. The reality is that I have 5 framed pictures of my children. This is because - 1) I take so many pictures of them that they rarely get processed, 2) I am super-busy, and 3) I cannot be mommy and photographer at the same time - it's just too much for me. Hey - maybe I should hire a professional (he he).

Watch Out Girls!

Because Ryan's 1-year old! And with his big blue eyes, charming smile, and slick dance moves - he's sure to melt your heart. But you'll have to ask his mom permission - I don't think he's allowed to date yet:)

Family Portrait

I got a new mac so that I can process photos a lot faster (my husband would like to see me at least occassionally in the next few busy months) and it comes with this fun little thing called 'photobooth'. So, here's our family photo from it.

Yup, it's a keeper! Probably our best family photo yet:)

Baby Lauren's 9 months Old!

I went back to Lauren's house for our 3rd session since she's now 9 months old. She is so active and barely sat still for anything (which was great so that we could get pictures of everything that she's doing).
She loves this chair in her sister's room and had a great time jumping on it!

I was able to get this one only because she was in her high chair at the time. A friend of mine teased me that this was my "signature" shot. I just think it's such a sweet angle for baby faces.
Oh yes, we must always have some sister shots with Megan.
I can tell Lauren just can't wait to get outside when the weather gets warmer - she loves to stand by the window and just look out.
And she learned to clap her hands - it always amazing how the simplest thing becomes so entertaining when someone's learning it for the first time. Everyone was standing around Lauren getting her to clap! And she was just eating up the attention.
Thanks again, Lauren, for a great session. I can't believe the next time I see you will be for your 1st birthday.

Beating the Winter Blues

We made our 2nd annual trip out to Kansas City to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge this past weekend. Last year we had such a wonderful time that we made sure to go again this year. It's a great way to make it through a miserable Missouri winter (I actually enjoy winter, but with kids, it can be very hard).

For those of you who don't know about the Great Wolf Lodge, it is a wonderful family-oriented hotel with an adjoining indoor water park (not a pool, a water park), storytime in the lobby at bedtime, cub club activities for the kids during the day and lots of other various activities. And it looks like they are putting in a miniature golf course too. My wonderful in-laws came along with us to help with our three kiddos (that is the only reason I was able to take so many pictures this time - so thank you, you two!) So, here are some pics from our trip - Enjoy!

And enjoy the show!
(If you pay attention you'll see me two times in the slideshow)

Here's Clyde swimming in the big pool.Emma - very dramatically eating her cracker appetizer at dinner (so very 3-year-old of her!)
Clyde dousing himself in the toddler pools.
My favorite picture of the bunch - Grandpa and Nolan looking out the window.
And once again - Clyde "fighting" the fountains.

Quadsquad

Yes, count them - 1,2,3,4 - 4 babies! I thought I had a lot going on with my three being as young as they are. I can't imagine how I would do it with four - 1 year olds. Amazingly enough, their mom was one of the calmest and most patient moms I've ever met. I feel honored to have been part of these children's lives.

We had lots of fun eating cake to celebrate their upcoming birthday!I could not get over the big blue eyes on this one.
I think it was easier to get a good picture of these four than of my own children:)
Of course, after cake eating time, you just have to get a bath in the kitchen sink.
This one had the right idea - just sleep until the lady with the camera goes away!!
Welcome to toddlerhood, Quadsquad!
Enjoy the slideshow!
