Child Portraits - Quadruplets!!!

So, last year I photographed these kiddos when they turned 1. Now they are 2!! Can you imagine four 2-year olds? My house is crazy enough with my young three, so I have so much respect for the quadruplets mom who seems to enjoy every minute of it. As she put it - the photos really show their monkeyish-ness:) Yes, they certainly do.

This was our best attempt at a portrait of all the quadruplets together.

And if you ever want a glimpse into trying to parent 4 young children, this picture sums it up:)

Loving, Laughing, Competing and Crying with each other since conception.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

I know some of my clients and fellow photographer friends are aware of this organization, but it has just been featured on the Today show. So, I wanted to share the segment with you.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep is an organization that provides photography for sick or stillborn infants. The photography is done in the hospital usually and is a completely volunteer services by local photographers who are just looking for a way to give back to the community uses their talent.

I know at first, this subject matter seems a bit morbid. Yes, often the baby has already passed on by the time we arrive. So, it is obvious different than most sessions. But for the parents and loved ones of the baby, these photos provide a lasting beautiful memory of their child, however short their life may have been. And the images often help with the grieving process that comes afterward.

The St Louis chapter of this organization is meeting next week to coordinate efforts with local hospitals and staff to make sure that the parents are aware of this service. While it's not something that any parent want to think about or plan for, I have never heard of a parent regretting having these photos taken. I am proud to be able to be a part of this organization and hope to increase awareness for the services.

So, please take a moment to watch the segment below and leave a comment on my blog if you wish.

Baby Portraits: Brock - Then & Now

Some of you may remember Brock's newborn photos from last February.

Well, now Brock is one year old! And he is just as happy as he was as a newborn. I can't believe how much he has grown. I can't wait to get the rest of these edited for Brock's mom - with a beautiful family (inside and out) and a beautiful house with great light, I'm sure that it'll be difficult to find many that don't make the cut:)

Happy Birthday Brock!

Baby Portraits - Just a Couple

Sorry I've been so absent from my blogging duties lately. But I just wanted to share a couple from once of my recent sessions.
